Penny Knobel-Besa offers interesting one-day photographic field trips and occasionally week-long trips such as a prior trip to Maine (pictured) that included visits to Acadia National Park, Whale Watching, Maine’s Botanical Gardens and lighthouses.  Past day-long field trips have included: Covered Bridges of Bedford County, Sailing in Dorchester County on the Nathan a Skip-Jack, visiting Wildlife Refuges and Dog Sledding.  If you would like to receive notice of various events offered please provide us with your email address and we will advise you of upcoming events.  Every year an Artist Studio Tour is held the last two weekends of October and during this Sanctuary Studios is open to the public for visits from 11 to 5 pm daily, they will have tour guide books so you can visit several other artists in the area. 

Penny Knobel-Besa also offers an Art of Photography one-day workshop three times a year (Winter, Spring, & Fall sessions) in the picturesque Sanctuary Studios, set in a woodland only 5 miles off the I-68. The workshop starts with a Scavenger Hunt, followed by Slide Show Tips for Taking Better Photos, Exploring Adobe Photoshop Tools, and ends with a 2-hour model shoot where each attendee has a chance to work with the model.
